The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry is one of the main academic departments in the College of Pharmacy. It was established with the Faculty in 2017. 
The department plays an important role in preparing qualified pharmacists with knowledge and practical skills in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, medicinal chemistry, and drug quality control.

The department helps students understand drug design, drug discovery, and drug development. It also teaches the relationship between the chemical structure of drugs and their biological activity. In addition, students learn analytical methods used to test different pharmaceutical dosage forms and ensure the quality and safety of medicines.

The department supports scientific research in medicinal and analytical chemistry. It encourages innovation, community service, and the continuous improvement of its academic programs to meet quality standards and the needs of the job market.
