The Vice-Chancellor is the chief executive and is responsible for leading and overseeing all the University’s academic, administrative and financial affairs, in order to fulfil the University’s mission and strategic objectives and ensure the quality of institutional performance.
Duties of the Vice-Chancellor
To exercise general oversight of all the University’s academic, administrative and financial activities.
Implementing the policies and decisions of the University Council.
Representing the University before official bodies and local and international institutions.
Approving strategic and operational plans and monitoring their implementation.
Chairing or supervising senior councils and committees.
Approving appointments and promotions in accordance with approved regulations.
Supporting the quality of education, scientific research and community service.
Overseeing financial resources and ensuring their sound management.
Strengthening partnerships and scientific cooperation at both local and international levels.
Departments reporting to the Vice-Chancellor:
Computer Centre:
Responsible for the development of electronic systems, technical infrastructure and information security.
E-Learning Department:
The E-Learning Department is one of the departments supporting the educational process at the University. It oversees the planning, implementation and development of the e-learning system in line with the latest trends in digital education, thereby contributing to the enhancement of the quality of educational outcomes.
University Website Department:
Responsible for building a digital platform that reflects the prestige of the academic institution and facilitates the lives of students and staff, by publishing university news, events and the official vision, providing links to e-services, and improving the university’s visibility on search engines (SEO) to raise its ranking in various global rankings
Public Relations and Media Department:
Responsible for promoting the university’s image, organizing events, engaging with the community, and managing media content and relations
