The University Principal is the University's chief executive officer for administrative operations and is responsible for ensuring the effective management of administrative and financial affairs in support of the University's academic mission. The University Principal oversees the institution's operational and logistical functions, ensuring the efficient delivery of services across the University.
Responsibilities of the University Principal
- Administrative and Financial Management: Oversees the University's budget, expenditure, and financial resource management.
- Campus Development: Supervises construction projects, maintenance activities, and the management of University facilities, including lecture halls, laboratories, and student residences.
- Human Resources Management: Oversees human resource functions, including staff recruitment, promotions, personnel administration, and professional development.
- Security and Safety: Ensures the security of the University campus and the safety of students, staff, and University facilities.
- University Representation: Represents the University and undertakes responsibilities delegated by the Vice Chancellor at official events and functions.
