Sudan University and Civil Defense Launch Major Disinfection Campaign in Preparation for Exams

This morning, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, Sudan University of Science and Technology, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Forces, launched a major campaign to disinfect and sanitize university buildings and examination centers across all faculties. This initiative precedes the start of the fourth examination session of the 2026 academic year and is part of the university's efforts to create a safe and healthy campus environment for students and staff.

The campaign includes disinfection and sanitization of all university facilities, including classrooms, examination centers, offices, and service facilities, as well as areas where students will gather during the examination period.

This campaign is part of the university's plan to prepare the academic and service environment following its return to its main campus in Khartoum after an absence of more than three years due to the repercussions of the war and the damage inflicted on higher education institutions, leading to the suspension of academic activities.

The university confirmed that the sanitization efforts are taking place in conjunction with ongoing preparations for the resumption of classes and examinations, enhancing the safety of students, faculty, and staff, and contributing to a suitable environment for the return of academic activity to its main campus.

The partnership between Sudan University of Science and Technology and the Civil Defense reflects the importance of integrated efforts among government institutions during the rehabilitation of educational institutions and the restoration of their role, supporting the stability of the educational process and creating favorable conditions for students upon the university's return to its Khartoum campus.
