Vision
The college aspires to become a model for communication science colleges, and seeks to achieve for itself an advanced scientific position in the field of media, in the field of media education and research, and to employ modern media sciences, knowledge, and technology to serve society.
Mission
In line with the mission of Sudan University of Science and Technology and its role in serving the community by graduating generations that keep pace with modern technologies, the mission of the College of Communication Sciences focuses on:
- Teaching communication science subjects with an emphasis on technical and applied aspects.
- Developing scientific research in the field of communication and contributing to scientific research that drives sustainable development in society.
- Training and qualifying professionals working in the field of communication.
- Serving the community through its own mass media outlets.
Goals
The College of Communication Sciences seeks to achieve a number of goals related to students' abilities and aspirations on the one hand, and to serving the community and the needs of the labor market on the other. These goals include:
(a) Preparing students scientifically qualified in modern communication sciences, both theoretical and applied.
(b) Graduating a qualified generation of media professionals capable of fulfilling various roles in the fields of journalism, radio, television, public relations, multimedia, and photography.
(c) Raising the level of competence of media sector employees and staff and qualifying them to the bachelor's degree level.
(d) Activating fruitful cooperation with media institutions inside and outside Sudan.
(e) Contributing to enriching and developing scientific research in the field of communication sciences.
